If I Had A Magic Wand

Every 1 person in the 132 people in this world don’t have a country. There are 196 UN recognized countries and about 40,070 km of land around this globe, yet every one person in 132 doesn’t have a country. Every night 820 million people sleep hungry and 2.3 billion tons of food is wasted every day. If I had a magic wand I’d make the world a better place to live in. Every 40 second 1 person is murdered in the world. Over 100 million people were affected by famine in the opening year of this decade. More than one billion people still lack access to safe water and nearly 1.5 billion people worldwide lack access to health services. We have managed to destroy a tenth of our wildness in just 25 years. Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year. By the time I have children we will have destroyed half of the coral reefs and half of Greenland would have melted. If I had a magic wand, I’d wish for many more magic wands as one would not suffice. Every day we treat animals like they are produce, these living creatures that feel pain, feel love empathy are treated with such violence that you couldn’t even take one percent off. How can you choose to ignore it all? If I had a magic wand I’d be like those people who actively choose to help the world out. I’d like to be like Leonardo DiCaprio who is a who’s foundation does extensive work on climate change and is one of the most prominent climate change champions. If I had a magic wand I would like to be  Juan Santos (pronounced huan) the president of Colombia who won a Nobel prize for his work in Colombia. If I had a magic wand I want to be like Sunderlal who started the Chipko movement in which they made an active non- violent effort to stop deforestation in the Himalaya’s, which led to a whole new wave in the eviromentalist all around in the world. If I had a magic wand I would like to do as much as I could to help make this world a better place to live in and a better place for living organisims to thrive in. I would want to be like all those million people out there trying and trying to be better people and doing good work for this world and who will be remembered for the good they did. If I had a magic wand I wouldn’t want to feel so helpless in the effort. IF I HAD A MAGIC WAND I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A POSTIVE CHANGE IN THIS WORLD!
